For a greener tomorrow

Participating in the Green Your School program has been a fascinating experience. It allowed me to share my thoughts on green ideas and deepen my understanding of environmental issues. I am passionate about pursuing a career in sustainable development, and this initiative has inspired me even more. It’s incredible to know that my school was one of the winners, and I truly believe this program is crucial for sensitizing students about the environment. By getting involved, we are not only learning but also taking steps towards a more sustainable way of living.

The IGBC Green Your School Programme was the push our school needed to take sustainability to the next level. While we've always aimed to be eco-friendly, this program motivated us to go even further with our limited resources. Collaborating with my teammates, Anushka Gaine and Vaibhavi Venkateswaran, was an incredible experience. Despite juggling exams and tight schedules, we came up with innovative ideas to help our school become a green campus. The program not only challenged us creatively but also inspired the entire school, from lower grades to higher classes, to work together toward a more sustainable future.

We are immensely grateful to the IGBC Green Your School Program for giving us the opportunity to participate and win in the Innovation category. This collaboration has allowed us to uphold the ethos of sustainability and make a positive impact not just within our school, but also in the wider community. IGBC-CII has empowered us not only as participants but as ambassadors of positive change. We sincerely appreciate the IGBC team for this enriching and unforgettable experience.

We thank IGBC for giving us the opportunity to take part in Green Your School programme 2018. The programme has triggered green way of thinking and made us to understand the importance of being environment friendly. We believe that this programme has inculcated green thoughts in our students which would go a long way in greening the society.

Being in a small village of Gujarat, we always enjoy the nature and feel blessed to be in this school. This program has given us great learnings’ to know about Green and it’s importance in our life. We thank IGBC for the opportunity given and came to know about reduce & reuse of various waste materials.

Our school is located in a village and it’s completely has rich Green cover. Green Your School programme has given us opportunity in reusing the waste, conserving rain water and improving our sanitation practices. We thank IGBC for this opportunity and support extended to us.

Even though environment friendly is very loud spoken word, but there is lack of awareness in the society. I believe that Green Your School programme is creating awareness among the young generation who are ambassadors of our future. The programme has helped our school in revamping the water harvesting systems and now the school claims surplus availability of water. Thanks to IGBC for it support in converting our school Green.

I am feeling very much enlightened to receive the award. My heartfelt gratitude to IGBC for encouraging us throughout this journey. In the process, we have learnt and understood the importance of saving Mother Nature. We promise to continue doing this work and ensure that our world is in safer hands.

We are extremely happy to win the award and through other participated schools we have also learnt various other Green initatives. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan encourages its students to participate in various competitions and this is one of the unique programme we participated and understood about Going Green.

We are participating in Green Your School programme since 2015 and the participation has helped us to come up with many green ideas that would improve our school. Some of the ideas like installation of solar panels, vermicomposting have been implemented in school and we are able to reap the benefits. We congratulate IGBC & Carrier for this great initiative.
